Listening in a language you are still learning is tiring
If your meetings, classes or calls are in a language that is not your first, you spend energy on understanding speech, leaving little for the actual content. Reading along removes much of that pressure, because reading is usually easier than listening for learners.
Use a live transcript as a reading aid
- Join the meeting in Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave.
- Start Pendict in another tab and select the language the speakers use.
- Share the meeting tab with audio.
- Glance at the text when you miss a word or an accent is hard to follow.
Afterwards
- Download the transcript and look up the words you did not know.
- Paste it into a translation tool or an AI assistant to get a summary in your own language.
- Use the exact wording to write accurate follow-up messages.
