Stop typing, start understanding

Typing notes while listening splits your attention. A better routine is to let a live transcript catch every word, so during the lecture you only listen and mark what is important.

The routine

  1. Before class: open the lecture in a Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave tab and start Pendict on that tab, with the right language selected.
  2. During class: watch and listen. Jot only questions and ideas of your own.
  3. After class: download the transcript as .docx or .txt.
  4. Turn it into notes: paste it into an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Copilot and ask for what you need.

Prompts that work

  • "Summarize this lecture in 10 bullet points."
  • "List all definitions and key terms with short explanations."
  • "Make 15 flashcards (question and answer) from this transcript."
  • "What 5 questions could an exam ask about this?"

Cost for students

A session is €5 and lasts up to 4 hours, so a full lecture day costs one session. There is no subscription to forget to cancel. Try the two free demos first.

A fair-use note

Check your university's rules about recording or transcribing lectures. Pendict only reads audio from your own browser tab, but your institution may still have its own policy.
