Zoom, Meet and Teams all offer captions

Each platform has its own live captions, and they are good enough for many calls. The difference is what happens to the text, and who controls it.

Where built-in captions fall short

  • They may not be available to you. Hosts or admins can switch them off, and some features need a paid or work licence.
  • Language support varies. Smaller languages may be missing or less accurate.
  • The text is often not saved. Captions can vanish when the meeting ends, or the transcript goes to the organizer only.
  • They only work inside that platform. A webinar site, a course platform or a YouTube stream has its own tool, or none.

What Pendict adds

  • Works on any browser tab with sound, so one tool covers every platform.
  • You choose the language.
  • You download the full text as .txt or .docx.
  • Doesn't depend on the host's settings or your licence.

When built-in captions are enough

If the platform's captions cover your language and you do not need the text afterwards, they are free and instant. Use them. Switch to Pendict when you need the document.

Cost

Two free demos, then €5 per session of up to 4 hours. See the full guide for Meet, Zoom and Teams.
