Why would you transcribe more than one tab?
Some days you have two things going on at once: a lecture and a team call, two webinars, an interview and a video you need to quote, or a meeting plus a recorded briefing. Most tools handle one audio source at a time. Pendict can run a separate transcription session for each browser tab.
How it works
- Open each audio source in its own tab, in Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave on a computer.
- Open Pendict and start a session, then choose the first tab and tick Share tab audio.
- Open Pendict in a second tab or window, start another session, and share the second tab.
- Each session has its own live text, its own timer and its own download.
Each session is separate and each paid session counts on its own, so you stay in control of what you spend. A device can run a couple of sessions at the same time.
The noise problem, solved
Two or three audio sources playing out loud at once is unbearable. Pendict reads the audio of the tab itself, not your speakers. So you can:
- Lower or mute your computer's volume.
- Wear headphones and listen to only the source you care about.
- Use your operating system's volume mixer to quiet the browser window.
The transcripts keep working. This is the main difference from tools that record your system's output or your microphone: they hear whatever the room hears.
Tips
- Name your files (the filename box at the top of each session) so you can tell the downloads apart.
- Keep both source tabs open until each session ends. Closing a shared tab ends its session.
- Use a stable connection: two live sessions send audio at the same time.
